For sale is a Riley 12/ 4 Monoposto racing car from 1929, in excellent condition and ready for immediate use. This Riley racer was built back in the 1950s and underwent further development in the following years, including the addition of a supercharger. From 1970 to 1990, this Riley successfully took part in racing events in the Vintage Sports Car Club (VSCC) before being brought over to America, where it took part in classic car events at Lime Rock and various hill climbs.
After being acquired by the current owner, the Riley was regularly entered in various racing events in England for several years. The single seater has a VSCCA logbook, a VSCC pass and an MSA UK race document.
The 1500 cc Riley with supercharger runs on methanol and is only suitable for demonstration runs on closed tracks or for use at racing events. The 12/ 4 engine produces around 190 bhp, which makes it one of the faster Riley's available in Europe.
