Description
Here we have a 1976 1275cc MG Midget being sold as a running project. Looking through the handful of receipts that accompany the car it is evident that the car had various new body repair panels between 2021 and 2022 resulting in a very solid MG Midget. The paintwork looks bright and presents well but could ideally do with a flat and polish to get the best out of it. The soft top is in good condition although a couple of the plastic windows will need re sealing to make it weather tight. Inside is tidy and presentable with all switches and gauges present and working.
Mechanically the engine is strong and runs well but unfortunately 1st gear is very noisy and will need attention at some point although it is working fine at present. The car does drive well on the road and has had recent work to the brakes and clutch ancillaries.
If you are looking for a cheap way into the classic car world and like a bit of tinkering in your spare time, then this car could be for you.
