Description
This is lot number 103 in the Bonhams Bonmont Auction on June 30th, please see the Bonhams website for full details.
• Swiss registration document
The Commando’s vibration-beating Isolastic frame enabled Norton Villiers to prolong the life of their ageing parallel twin. Launched in 1967, with production commencing in 1968, the Commando used the preceding Featherbed-framed Atlas model’s 750cc engine and AMC gearbox. It was an instant hit with the motorcycling public, being voted Motor Cycle News' 'Machine of the Year' for five consecutive years. Purchased by the vendor some time ago and kept in a climate-controlled environment as part of a collection, this Commando 750S has been used sparingly and comes with a Swiss Carte Grise. It should be noted that the frame number is not a Norton factory stamping; accordingly, prospective purchasers must satisfy themselves with regard to this motorcycle's specification, originality and correctness prior to bidding. Sold strictly as viewed.
