Sharing the wide body, brakes and suspension of the awesome Turbo cars, the C4S models are definitely the next best thing to a Turbo. Produced from 2002 until being replaced by the 997 in 2005, the C4S was available in both Coupe and Convertible bodies and with both manual or automatic (Tiptronic) gearboxes. Power was 320HP from the traditional rear mounted flat 6 unit driving all 4 wheels.
Our car is a late production C4S Cabriolet fitted with the more desirable 6 speed manual transmission. The car looks stunning from all angles in its popular Seal Grey metallic paintwork with matching removable hardtop and a black fabric electrically operated soft top. Inside, like most Porsche of the era, the car is trimmed with black leather with optional sports seats, black leather dashboard and black carpets with Porsche overmats. The manual gear shift lever and parking brake lever are finished in aluminium. Other features include climate control, a Pioneer stereo/ navigation system and a switchable sports exhaust with remote control.
Sold by us twice since 2018, the car has covered just 49, 000 miles with the service book showing 9 main dealer/ specialist service stamps with the most recent carried out locally at 911 Sport costing £4, 164 at 45, 920 miles which included new original equipment front brake discs and pads. The 18” Turbo look alloy wheels have had 4 new matching Falken Y rated tyres less than 500 miles ago.
On the road the car feels like the low mileage, cared for example that it is. Acceleration is brisk through the 6 manual gears and the switchable sports exhaust rasps when turned on. The brakes are obviously keen and without judder due to being so new, and the steering is straight ahead without vibration or noise most likely due to the recently fitted tyres.
These cars are great value for money and low mileage ones are becoming rarer to find, especially with manual transmission.
The car comes complete with the original book pack including service book, numerous invoices/ MOT certificates, 2 keys and full tool kit with locking wheel nut.
