PUR 444W is a Genuine Black HSR Chevette. A well known car to the club.

The Chevette HSR was a further evolution of the HS, with the wide body fiberglass kit, five-link rear end, and optional Dell'Orto carburetors. While 50 cars were supposed to be built to satisfy homologation regulations, only 34 cars actually were, all converted from the HS ..

This is 1 of 6 Black Cars ever produced , the remaining 28 were silver , so this make this car very rare.

I sold a black one to Australia a few years ago, so I believe this makes this car one of 3 black cars known in the UK .

This car has an amazing history file, with a known ownership timeline from new . There is a copy of every V5 and original tax disc ever issued to every owner. All the MOT certificates dating back to the 80's , plus a whole timeline of service history and receipts . There is also a letter from the Droop Snoot Club confirming it is one of the 6 black cars . Fully restored around 10 years ago, with care taken to keep its originality as much as possible . I purchased it from the restorer, a respected DSG enthusiast .

The car has a few sensible modern upgrades , including Wilwood Brakes , Camshaft Modifications, electric cooling fans and electronic ignition .

The car is as clean on the underside as the top. The floors have been painted in body coloured stonechip, with the suspension components powdercoated and polybushed .

A low mileage , Matching Nos. Car. With its original body shell ( a lot aren't , when you do your homework ) . Highly original throughout including all the interior .

The DTV sticker on the bulkhead has been signed by the DTV manager , Gerry Johnson, who approved of the car and restoration .

This is a fabulous car to drive .. A properly sorted example, with a superb soundtrack, which will always put a smile on your face..
