This very well presented matching numbers 308 GT4 was manufactured in 1978 and is an original UK supplied example which was ordered new in Blue Sera coachwork over Crema hide interior with blue carpets. Acquired by the current vendor in October 2011 the decision was made to treat the Dino to a comprehensive restoration over an eight year period. In which time the body and chassis was stripped back to bare metal and professionally repaired where necessary before being resprayed in the metallic blue paintwork you see today. The engine was removed, inspected and rebuilt accordingly and the interior was also renewed. Following the restoration the vendor has used the car as intended and reports that the Ferrari runs and drives very well indeed.
Offered in superb condition following the restoration the paintwork is excellent and the interior and engine bay are very presentable, having been dry stored in the current vendors private collection the underside is also notably in very good order, as to the chrome work which following inspection retains a deep shine and appears to show just one very minor blemish to the front bumper. Having covered a mere 64, 475 miles from new the Dino has more recently benefited from a cambelt change in 2024 and is also accompanied by a sizeable history file containing the original maintenance and service booklets, various old sundry bills, many invoices detailing the comprehensive restoration, a photo album of the restoration, many previous Mot test certificates, the current UK registration document, and its original Ferrari tool kit.
