We have for sale through AB 4x4s is this fully rebuilt Land Rover Defender 110 V8 Auto, 9 seater soft top heritage edition copy.
So we rebuilt this 1983 Defender over a 2 year period to a massive spec.
So here is the original huge spec list below.
REAR TUB - Fully rebuilt on top and underneath with all YRM aluminium parts. This included just about all the aluminium. Also the tub crossmembers were new galvanised ones. After it was rebuilt it was raptured underneath to preserve it. All nuts and bolts are stainless steel.
WINGS- Brand new aluminium wing skins. The rest was amazingly straight and look new.
SEATBOX- Totally rebuilt with new sides. Installed with stainless fixings
GALVANISED PARTS- Chassis and bulkhead are galvanised dipped with no future maintenance required.
All cappings are new and galvanised.
Galvanised rear tub crossmembers.
Galvanised heavy duty sticks with all seat belt mounts on.
B and C posts are new and galvanised dipped. This is an area common for rusting especially along the sills.
All doors are new galvanised 2 piece ones. Door tops were original Wolf ones, very expensive and of course alloy so these were totally dismantled for painting. These now look new and will never rust.
STAINLESS STEEL PARTS- So we went to town on this. All hinges including the rear door are YRM stainless steel with stainless fixings.
Bonnet hinges and bulkhead hinges are also stainless steel.
Front bumper is Heritage stainless steel with end caps mounted with stainless fixings.
Every nut and bolt possible is stainless unless it is load bearing.
INSIDE- To the front are 2 x black restored leather seats with Ashcroft centre console. Trimmed with a luxury carpet set. To the 2nd row 3 x new black leather seats all with new belts. In the rear tub there is a further seating for 4 belted passengers on 2 x galvanised framed black leather bench seats. They can be upgraded to forward facing at extra cost. The rear tub floor is covered by a heavy duty mat to protect it.
ENGINE- Ran superbly but still fully rebuilt. It is in fact a 3. 9efi unit. All ancillaries are new.
All the cooling systems are new i. e. radiators, water pump, hoses etc.
GEARBOX- This is a new auto box from Ashcroft including transfer box. This will integrate into the Ashcroft centre console to look neat.
WHEELS- Brand new Wolf wheels finished in heritage Green.
TYRES- These are the same as the original Heritage edition. Goodyear Wrangler 235/ 85/ 16.
Great on and off road. There is also a new spare.
ELECTRICS- Brand new full wiring loom from Autosparks. LED lights all round.
AXELS- Fully rebuilt
RUNNING GEAR- All brand new
BODYWORK- This was the straightest 110 I've seen. We had a couple of dents in the wings so I bought brand new wing skins. Finished in Atlantic green 2k it looks amazing.
Alarm and tracker have been fitted, costing nearly £1k.
So, we are selling this fantastic Land Rover, I own the vehicle myself and the story goes... this vehicle needed an IVA check due to modifications and passed with flying colours. I am now waiting to get its new registration from the DVLA. It is however better than the day it was originally built and great fun in the summer with the sweet sounding V8 engine and soft top.
