A Suzuki GS1000 AMA tribute bike, this is a road machine with working lights. A 4-year labour of love build with a GIA Aluminium Frame (GIA was ‘Gav’, previously of Spondon Engineering). It’s powered by a c. 10, 000 mile Suzuki 1200 Bandit engine out of a 2005 Bandit. The engine is ultra clean with Yoshimura Mikuni TMR MJN 36mm brand new carbs jetted on Daz's Melted Sliders dyno at 114bhp at the rear wheel. The spec also includes K+N filters, a bespoke Racefit titanium/ carbon exhaust system, GIA Oil cooler with braided lines, Promach billet yokes, a Translogic Microdash and a Dyna 2000 ECU with a bespoke race quality Towzatronics loom. There’s a bespoke Promach twin filler conversion on the GS1000 tank, titanium fasteners throughout, Brembo four pot MotoGP style rear calipers (this was near £1000) with a floating 220mm rotor Billet Spiegler rear master cylinder (ex-works Ducati), Brembo four pot calipers front with PFM discs Brembo RCS 19/ 20 master cylinder Brembo RCS, clutch slave cylinder, magnesium Dymags wheels with Bridgestone tyres, Ohlins rear shock, Ohlins road and track front forks, Motovalter rear-sets, Rethal fat-bars, Clearwater (imported from States) with bespoke billet mounting by Mark Tooms Engineering, Period Giuliari 2/ 4 seat with metal base HEL braided lines throughout.
Due to ill health a new owner is needed. The vendor says ‘this bike cost many thousands in parts alone to build, and the sister machine sold this year for some £26, 000’.
