ONE OF THE LAST R107 MERCEDES SPORTS TO BE PRODUCED This Mercedes 300SL Sports Automatic is one of the last of this model to be produced by Mercedes and was purchased by its first English owner as a Tax free car from Mercedes dealer Gedime Motors Limited in Gibraltar on 18th September 1989, and was subsequently driven back to the UK and registered here in the UK on 17th October 1989 and there are copies of the original purchase invoice and import documentation in the history file. It is finished in Signal Red with a full black leather interior, Black Mohair Soft Top, Body coloured Hard Top, and came with these standard features: 15'' Alloy Wheels, Anti-Lock Braking (ABS), Automatic Front Seat Belt Tensioners, Automatic Transmission, Electric Windows, Electric Passenger Door Mirror, Fire Extinguisher, First Aid Kit, Folding Soft Top, Front Seat Belts, Front Seat Height Adjusters, Heated Door Mirrors, Leather Covered Steering Wheel and Gearshift, Lockable Glovebox, Multi Point Central Locking, Power Assisted Steering, Removable Steel Hardtop, Tinted Glass, Vanity Mirrors – Twin Illuminated and Walnut Wood Fascia. This car was also specified with the following additional options: Heated Seats, Leather Upholstery, Outside Temperature Gauge, Cruise Control, Air Conditioning and Headlight Wash/ Wipers. In addition it has since been fitted with a Kenwood Bluetooth Radio and Pioneer Speakers and Rear Seat Belts. The car has only had 4 previous keepers from new and comes with a full service history from new including all MOT certificates confirming the current mileage of 120, 497 as correct plus lots of invoices from Mercedes specialists for works carried out on the car over the years. and it comes with two sets of keys, all books and manuals, its Mercedes Benz Data Card and Mercedes Benz Club paperwork. We have sold this car twice, once to a local Doctor in September 2016 and again to the current owner in April 2021 when the mileage was 120, 299. Unfortunately, due to ill health he has only driven the car 198 miles over the last 3 years and this is why it is being sold. The car does have some micro blistering on the bonnet + front wings and the rear deck requires repainting + the soft top, although serviceable and water tight, it has had a couple of repairs and is showing its age, so it ideally it needs replacing, but we have taken these factors into account and priced the car accordingly. We have included some photographs to be completely transparent. It is Mechanically excellent and drives beautifully and the interior is very good indeed. If the paintwork and soft top were perfect, this would be a £30K+ car! Upon sale the car will receive a pre-sales Service and new MOT and it will come with our own 6 Month Mechanical Warranty which can be upgraded and extended at additional cost if required.
