Description
Speedbroker present for sale this 2006 Aston Martin DB9 Volante direct from its long term vendor. First Registered on 1st March 2006, the car is finished in Jet black, with cream interior and black canvas soft top. With its all aluminium body and 5. 9 litre, silky smooth V12 power plant (producing 450bhp and 0-60mph in sub 5 seconds), these early DB9 convertible incarnations provide a class, refinement and character that is virtually unrivalled at this price point.
The car has covered approximately 38, 500 miles and has a current MOT until September 2024. The vehicle comes complete with original book pack and extensive services from both main dealer and highly regarded independent specialists. Services are stamped at 56 miles at Stratstone Stoneygate (supplying dealer) and then records at 1379, 7951, 13, 845, 23, 991, 27, 332, 28, 722, 30, 142, 31, 438, 32, 695, 33, 595, 35, 104, 36, 508, 36, 790, 37, 389, 37, 916 and 38, 210 miles respectively - with the last service at October 23. There is a total of 18 stamps in the book. Our vendor has owned the car for the last 12 years, ensuring annual servicing has taken place whilst keeping the mileage extremely low, and with only very occasional usage.
The DB9 offers comprehensive specification as standard including satellite navigation, Bluetooth, powerfold mirrors, reversing sensors, boot-mounted umbrella, heated front seats, extra interior wood features, Linn stereo, cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring and much more. This vehicle also has the added benefit of ‘sport pack’ twin spoke alloy wheels, which in our opinion are a huge aesthetic upgrade from the standard DB9 alloy wheels.
The overall condition of the vehicle we would describe as used and in a generally sound order throughout, however there are some cosmetic defects commensurate with age. There are various scratches over the vehicle - most of which could be remedied via a paint correction/ polishing, but there are a few scuffs that would need paint to be perfect. If you are familiar with aluminium Aston Martins, they generally all suffer with some aluminium corrosion, especially at a certain age. This car shows signs in certain areas - top of bonnet / door handles and some small micro blistering. We are very conscious of providing accurate descriptions of cars and are happy to discuss and talk through items prior to viewings, however, condition is subjective and we encourage all parties to satisfy themselves in terms of the condition.
There is also a common central locking issue (possible module). Central locking and mirrors work via key from the passenger door.
Please consider, this car has had low ownership, low miles and has a long term custodian with regular servicing. The engine runs beautifully, with all other items fully working on our inspection including the soft top - which presents in excellent order. The wheels have been refurbished (diamond cut) and present as almost new, with good Bridgestone tyres all round. Having scanned the market, we feel for its mileage and provenance this presents a good overall package at this price point, taking into consideration a new custodians potential desire to improve on the items discussed.
Serious enquiries and inspections are welcomed - maximum 2 people per viewing
