Description
Very few cars from the 80s and early 90s have aged as gracefully as the E30 cabriolets. Stylish, elegant, and an undeniable symbol of success back in the day, they have become a cult classic, leaving the originally more expensive Mercedes SL of the same period looking old and tired. The E30 was arguably BMWs masterpiece, from a time of over-engineering and obsessive quality control. The E30 configuration lends itself incredibly well to the convertible configuration, having a long, elegant, flat bodyline, perfect for roof removal. These cars are one of the most cost effective and easy to run modern classics, making the combination of looks, cred, reliability and cost an unbeatable classic package.
Unusually – as options were very expensive on this era of BMW – this 325i convertible has both air conditioning and cruise control, as well as an electric hood and leather seats.
This particular 325i is obviously a car that’s been cared for all its life, and has recently undergone some careful refreshment, with new paint, a serious underside clean up, interior retrim and a general ‘birthday’.
The service history and provenance of this 325i cab is fabulous, with a comprehensive MOT collection, handbooks and manuals, many invoices, and importantly even includes the original bill of sale from Cooper St. James for £32, 240 from 30th December 1991! As a note, in today’s prices, this is an eye watering equivalent of more than £86, 000. We are always impressed with a car that has retained this much of its original documentation, as it shows a high level of love and care that is very relevant to any future owner.
Our technical team have carried out a rigorous inspection of the car and are very pleased with the results, with any outstanding items being taken care of prior to the next owner taking possession.
