History:
Volvo's Shooting Brake is regarded as the forerunner of today's popular estate coupés. With just 8, 077 units produced, the "Snow White's Coffin", as it is popularly known, is considered a collector's vehicle. This example was first registered in Switzerland in the summer of 1972 and has remained in the same ownership for 37 years. The veteran-approved classic car is largely unrestored and has only covered 118, 000 km. The Volvo estate coupé is an extremely sophisticated vehicle and a highly reliable classic car.
Bodywork and paintwork:
The paintwork is largely original. Only a few parts have been repainted over the past 50 years. The left side panel has three dents, which can be removed by professionally pulling the sheet metal if desired. The chrome parts are in very good condition, some of the trim bars have slight dents.
Interior:
The original genuine leather upholstery is in very good condition, as is the entire interior. The fine round instrumentation is fully functional.
The beautiful wooden steering wheel matches the stylish interior perfectly and underlines the classic touch of this style icon.
Engine and mechanics:
The technology is in excellent condition. The vehicle has been well looked after by the owner's family and regular inspections have been carried out. Thanks to the good maintenance, no overhauls have had to be carried out to date.
Chassis:
The well-balanced chassis makes for a comfortable journey. In tight and fast bends, the body leans to one side without getting out of line. The road holding is remarkable and the brakes grip reliably.
