History File – This exquisite 1958 Mercedes-Benz 190SL boasts a rich history, starting its journey in the United States, specifically Missouri. Initially owned by Mr. Steve Curnett from January 1978, the car remained under his care until it was sold to Beverly Hills Car Club in 2014. In February 2015, the vehicle was sold for export purposes to Alexander Steiner in Austria. According to EU Customs clearance documents, the 190SL arrived in Bremerhaven in May 2015. Herr Steiner subsequently sold the car in May 2016 to Mr. Piotr Maluszynski from Dubron, Poland. Its final change of ownership was to another Polish national, who resided on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus at the time of sale in February 2022. Over the next two years, this particular 190SL underwent an exceptional restoration, achieving a level of detail and finish that places it among the finest examples available. With chassis number 750 1653, the car is now ready to be enjoyed, complete with all European taxes and duties paid, making it eligible for re-registration anywhere worldwide. Having covered just over 200 kilometers since its comprehensive nut and bolt restoration*, the accompanying photographs document the meticulous two-year journey of this stunning vehicle, now presented to the market in pristine condition.
