We are very pleased to offer an absolute show stopper of a Classic that immediately draws a crowd wherever I take it. If you want a MK1 Golf Cabriolet and you want one of the best and you want one that you will make you just stand there and look at in awe then this maybe the one. This Golf is awesome to be around and I have enjoyed every minute of preparing it and seeing peoples reactions when they see it. Finished in near flawless gloss black with a brand new roof and a very sexy set of fifteen inch deep dish alloys with four new Proxey tyres. This is retro at its finest. The Golf is accompanied with its original handbooks, stamped service book, every MOT certificate and a large service history file which dates right back to 1990. It also has two sets of keys.
On the road its a real pleasure to drive. The 1800 carb fed engine is very smooth and offers excellent acceleration right through the rev range. It rides on a set of BC Coil overs that offers a smooth and precise ride and that awesome stance. It has recently benefitted from brake and suspension works so it feels precise on the road and with enough power to easily keep up with modern traffic. The real experience starts when the roof is down, the full wind in the hair experience is on offer and this Golf will not disappoint.
The interior is very well presented and wonderfully eighties VW. It has half leather seats, and also has the now more reliable wind up windows and no central locking. It does have a power roof. The engine bay is well presented and the boot floor is untouched.
The Golf has a very solid shell and has all of its original panels. I cannot find any evidence of any previous welding repairs. It has been very well cared for cherished and benefits from having lots of time and attention lavished on it recently. The paint finish is stunning and easily show condition. This is an awesome looking Golf.
It is fully serviced, checked and driven and has an 11 month no advisory MOT. It is ready to be driven and enjoyed.
