Speedbroker are delighted to offer to the market a vehicle which defines an era of British motoring for Aston Martin: the AM Vantage V550.
Regarded by many as a "muscle car wearing a dinner jacket", this 550 was one of only 239 hand built cars to come out of the Newport Pagnell factory over a 7 year run of production, and took 1200 man hours per vehicle to assemble. The v550 offers a very savvy future investment opportunity, aswell as a useable lifestyle asset, the vehicle even comes with a beautiful set of Aston Martin luggage, so you can enjoy wonderful adventures from the Nurburgring to the French Riviera and beyond!
Boasting its 5. 3 litre v8 engine, the v550 utilised 2 x M90 Eaton Superchargers (giving the 550 its namesake with 550bhp) and an even more impressive 553lbft torque, figures that were truly mind bending during the 90s. Couple that with an asking price of £177, 600 when new (adjusted for inflation that would be in excess of £450, 000 in today's money), and at the time this lead the pack for pure luxury, opulence and performance.
Top speed would take you to 186 mph, with a 0-60 dash of around 4. 6 seconds, and with a 110 litre fuel tank, its GT pedigree is firmly cemented. You could tour Europe and stop at the drag strip along the way!
This particular model (boasting chassis #2) was registered on the 4th January 1994. The vehicle is showing 3 previous keepers on the latest v5c , however, the vehicle was kept in the same family from new before our vendor purchased the car (switching ownership between husband and wife) right up until our vendor took ownership of the car on 25th May 2013.
The vehicle has an exemplary service record, having been serviced via AM main agents during its first keeper, backed up by original paperwork and receipts. On acquiring the car, our vendor has had the vehicle maintained on an annual basis by the highly regarded Trinity Engineering, with its most recent visit in July 2023, including a thorough inspection of engine, transmission, suspension, electrical system and more with all paperwork to confirm.
