Just 15, 755 lady owned miles from new & properly serviced. This lovely cream Morgan is in impeccable condition coming to us from a lady owner; a serial Morgan owner who now must relinquish it due to the loss of mobility. The car was returned to the factory to have a quick release steeing wheel fitted for ease of ingress & egress by the lady before finally deciding the time had come to sell it.
To the interior is tan leather again in perfect condition. A full split tonneau cover comes with the car. A modern pioneer sound system is installed unobtrusively under the dash board & out of sight to all but the occupants.
The Morgan comes to us with all its books papers & keys, with 5 service stamps showing in the service book, the last at 14, 364 miles. This car was ordered new my Morgan main dealer Richard Thorne as a personal car with a view to racing. Plans changed & never on the track when sold by Thorne bumpers were fitted along with a luggage rack for touring at some considerable expense. A leather bonnet strap, Union Jack badges & headlamp stone guards complete the ensemble.
The 1600cc Ford Sigma engine fires up instantly & provides plenty of useable performance for such a light car. The gear box is an MX5 unit from Mazda & is as sweet shfting as you could wish for. The light engine & light bodywork makes for far more nimble handling then some of the bigger V8 engined cousins & the car as a whole is a pleasure to drive. Lowering the hood is simplicity in itself simply folding it back after releasing two widscreen mounnted latches & two popper style fasteners behind the doors.
