Description
The Bentley Continental R Mulliner `Final Series` is a limited-edition version of the 2003 Bentley Continental R Mulliner. This series was commissioned as a tribute to the cars that had marked Bentley's release from Rolls-Royce and was also at the time the most expensive new car available at circa £235k (Circa £411k in todays money)
From a total production run of 1, 548 Continental R Models, Bentley produced 158 Mulliner Editions, 44 Le Mans Series and just 11 `Final Series` cars of which only 5 were right hand drive examples.
The Final Series used an uprated version of the long-serving L series 6. 75 V8 engine, uprated to 426 bhp with a turbocharger and produced a goliath 881Nm of torque
As a Final Series, it also enjoyed a host of detail changes, including uprated Alcon brakes, branded brake callipers and wide wheel arches from the Continental T, stretched over 18-inch five-spoke alloys on the outside, body wing vents and on the inside a turbo boost gauge, chromed bezels for the dials, a large red starter button, black lacquer trim furnishings and winged Bentley emblems in the waistrails inside.
