Triumph TR5 UK car with matching numbers. By Here we have a truly superb example of the ever popular TR5, the Triumph TR5 is a sports car built by the Triumph Motor Company in Coventry, England, between August 1967 and September 1968.
Visually similar to the TR4 open two-seater it was derived from, the TR5 replaced Triumph's 105 bhp Standard inline-four engine with the much more powerful Lucas mechanical fuel-injected 150 bhp Triumph 2. 5-litre straight-6.
This particular car is a original uk car bought from Brompton Triumph in 1968, and has been owned by 6 previous keepers since.. the car has been dry stored in current ownership for the last 3 years and only used on dry days, the car is in fabulous condition, the paintwork is immaculate with period correct chrome-work, wire wheels and badges, the car is a matching numbers car, meaning it still has the original engine in it which is also fitted with the optional overdrive, starts and drives superbly and is ready for a use. the interior has been upgraded with a modern touch to what i believe is mk1 mx5 seats made to look period correct, the car has been well looked after by its current owner. it has just ticked over 75k miles, this car is ready to go!
