Finished in stealth Jet Black and sitting on shadow chrome alloy wheels, this rare Mitsubishi GTO MR (Mitsubishi Racing) Twin Turbo will be one of the finest, low mileage GTOs available.
The GTO MR was originally launched in 1994 with the MR moniker standing for Mitsubishi Racing and was only available in the Japanese market. The GTO MR was essentially a lightweight GTO Twin Turbo that deleted the troublesome 4WS and Active Aero that dogged this car back in its day. For this reason the MR has become the most sort after of the GTO/ 3000GT. It did however retain the important 4WD which allowed the car to put its power to the tarmac.
To identify a genuine MR the chassis number must start with Z15A.
The Twin Turbo GTO is powered by a silky smooth DOHC 24v V6 which produces 276bhp, with a massive 308ft lbs of torque, through its slick shifting 6 speed manual transmission.
Imported by us, this facelift 1998 GTO has only covered 34, 000 miles (54, 000 km confirmed by its history), from new and has a close to perfect underside which can be seen from the photographs and the interior and bodywork is untypically of a very high standard.
Provided with the car is one of the most comprehensive service histories that we have encountered with services being carried out at the following intervals.
