Triumph T140 engine, a powerful blueprinted 750cc motor
Stunning details everywhere you look
Less than 1000 miles from new
Some bikes are more than the some of their parts. This is true of the Brough Superiors and it is also true of the Gladstone Motorcycles No. 1. These beautiful motorcycles have the allure and depth of detail that you very rarely find on any machine but they also have loads of power and great handling too.
The frames are built by the renowned British Company Metisse who have produced a wonderful nickel plated frame with a rigid rear end for a low menacing stance. This has been combined with Triumph’s big twin, the T140 – 750cc of torque and power complete with a 5 speed a gearbox and left foot gear change. These engine have all been stripped and painstakingly reassembled to exacting standards by Guy and now they are running through short ‘stub’ exhaust pipes the sound track is pretty epic too! The twin leading shoe drum brakes add to the vintage feel but also perform very nicely.
The most notable part of these bikes though is the attention to detail everywhere. The tri-bar headlights and rear lights are custom milled from billet, the Smiths Gladstone 5 inch speedo (which looks superb all lit up), the custom made aluminium fuel tanks, the hand sewn diamond stitched saddle and matching handle bar grips, the brass exhaust moults, the bespoke side stand and mudguard stays; the list goes on. String twisted seat springs, brass bound battery box, etc.
Only 9 examples of the Gladstone Motorcycles No. 1 will be built so this is an exceptionally rare opportunity to acquire one of these desirable machines and this is also the first model from the Gladstone Motorcycles brand. This particular bike also happens to be the 1st of the 9 built and has covered less than 1000 miles from new. The bike is in pristine condition, on the button and ready to be enjoyed.
