This car was purchased in the US from a renowned US dealer Hyman Classic Cars for $162, 500. They stated that the car had a ground up nut and bolt restoration to exceptional standards appropriate to a high quality concours restoration.
When the car arrived in the UK in 2015 it was treated to a further circa £50k expenditure with marque specialists which involved an engine rebuild and upgrade to 3. 8 S spec and many other up upgrades including Zelis disc brake upgrade, electric power steering, upgrade later 4. 2 XJ6 Jaguar floor change automatic transmission, new electronic ignition, new starter motor, new fuel pump, aluminum radiator, new electric cooling fan, full under body wax oil rust protection, halogen headlights, period style blue tooth radio, 12-volt battery conversion and a full mechanical overhaul. There are all of the invoices in the very large service file to show works carried out.
As a result, it drives as a well-sorted and upgraded car should and would make an ideal touring car.
