The original interior was subject to a complete overhaul and completed 2014. Original specification new beige leather interior with correct Art Deco sunburst style panels to the door cards and is striking throughout. The matching beige carpets are near perfect with contrasting black over-mats making for an impressive appearance.
The figured Burr Walnut has been removed and refinished to a very high standard and presents beautifully with no signs of aging or cracking. The new tailor made headlining is taught and in exceptional order. Original Smiths instrument gauges complimented by the original 4-spoke bakelite steering wheel. All original electrical switches work as they were intended, all chrome door furniture and Lucas rear view mirror present perfectly... A true gentlemans cockpit, simply beautiful
Exterior
The unmarked and correct black paintwork presents in stellar condition. The whole body was subject to a major overhaul and completed 2014. The bright work at the same time all refinished to an exceptional standard displaying a mirror like shine as you can see from the pictures.
The windscreen winds open allowing a pleasant air flow to keep the occupants cool, aided by a large sunroof that opens easily and crank opening quarter lights.
All glass panels around the vehicle are crystal clear with no hints of any delamination. Each door closure is flush, with factory panel fit and outstanding lines and gaps.
Finally not forgetting those traditional trafficators that work perfectly displaying a strong amber glow when in operation... Stunning

Wheels, Tyres & Brakes
Wheels - The original steel wheels were replaced in August 2014 with a new set of chrome wire wheels at a cost of £2200. Fitted with all matching Dunlop Gold Seal 4. 75/ 5. 00-18 Tyres.
Brakes - Girling rod operated brake system with 12-inch diameter heavily ribbed Millenite drums. The brakes are surprisingly strong and pull up with ease and perfectly straight.
Engine & Transmission
The 1776cc OHV straight four cylinder engine is near silent in operation. We understand from the history file that it was subject to a complete overhaul during the restoration completed in 2014. The engine has been tuned and produces 42. 4 HP as documented by a recent rolling road setup.
On the road, she performs strongly easily keeping up with modern traffic on A and B roads returning 55 mph effortlessly. The 4 speed gearbox selects perfectly and with ease, the clutch is light and progressive. Starting is a dream, hot or cold she starts on the button and idles perfectly.
The engine and engine bay have been completely restored and present beautifully displaying many original Jaguar plaques.
Summary
The supplied Jaguar Heritage Certificate documents that the car was dispatched from the factory 9th November 1938 and supplied by Henleys of London to its first owner Mrs J E G Gent.
We understand that the car spent much of its life at an Irish Estate, here it underwent a major mechanical, body and interior restoration all completed in 2014. The car returned back to the UK in the Summer of 2014.
The car is supplied with its V5C and recent invoices for work carried out confirming that it had nearly £7, 000 spent on the engine, running gear, and detailed servicing. It also has a 1958 tax disc in the windscreen.
