1959 Morris Minor Convertible
Genuine factory car!
In a lovely state of preservation with a snug hood and ready for immediate enjoyment
This charming original 1959 Tourer in Smoke Grey with contrasting interior has had just seven owners from new in its 65 years.
It is clearly a car that has enjoyed a charmed life which is evident by the condition of the original interior as well as the underside which appears to be completely sound and unwelded - unlike the vast majority!
As one would expect, she has had some remedial paintwork over the years but apart from a small amount of flaking to the lower part of the boot lid, the bodywork is sound and presents beautifully. The panel fit is also exceptionally good and consistent with an original unrestored example.
Its starts promptly and performs well with its sweet 998cc engine, light steering and smooth gear changes. A Brake Servo is the only deviation from a standard and helps to slow it down much better.
The hood has been replaced at some time in the fairly recent past and fits snugly with the frame being in perfect working condition.
This genuine little car comes with its original handbook and an invoice for a comprehensive service last year, since when just a few miles have been covered.
