Leaving the Works on 1/ 3/ 35 for Swallow Milburn of Newcastle there followed a number of owners mainly Armed Forces or Police who took the Alvis to Malaya in 1947. It passed to the Plantation Set being restored and raced before passing to Dr. Herbert Reiss in the military who pulled strings and had the car shipped home via Aircraft Carrier. A couple more owners saw the car in New York owned by an Australian ex-RAF wartime pilot. In 1990 it returned to the UK and a fastidious, talented engineer with a Tool Making business who had the car professionally restored and improved to his very high standards.
289 Speed 20 SC`s of all styles were produced with around 109 surviving. Expensive, flamboyant and fast. This one has its original colour
scheme, original registration, matching numbers and drives delightfully. Treat Yourself.
