Description
A terrific opportunity for you to finish the restoration of this Series 1 Jaguar E type FHC. The heritage certificate tells us this vehicle was first registered on 16/ 7/ 1962 by A J Beal Jaguar of Exeter. It was painted in Carmen red with red leather interior trim. The certificate also confirms the car still retains its original numbers matching engine and gear box.
This vehicle has undergone a tremendous amount of work so far including a brand new bonnet, floor pans, doors, engine frames and sills. All metal work has been completed, panels spot welded and lead loaded to original factory specification. The engine has had a complete bottom end rebuild including new pistons and a balanced crank shaft. The top end is present and will need overhauling before fitment. This work was undertaken by us to our highest standard and we hold a photographic record of each stage as it was completed.
We have a history file for the vehicle including a current V5 certificate (registration LSV766, needs some updating), heritage certificate number 34813 confirming the above information and an old MOT certificate from 1987 showing a mileage of 86, 832.
This is a very early, matching numbers UK car with most of the hard work done- needs a very small amount of finishing, paint preparation, painting and reassembly. The car does some with some spares and interior fixings but is not complete.
