Below is the comments from the last owner
At its price point this is a very good stag indeed .
I am now selling my beautiful Triumph V8 Stag Convertible.
I bought my car 11 years ago in 2012 and we have enjoyed taking it to plenty of local car shows over the years.
It is always garaged when not in use.
During the winter months and when it's not being used, its stored in my garage. I need to sell the car as I want to convert my garage.
The last time I took my car out was about 2 weeks ago. When the car is not in use I make sure its started every 2 weeks.
Exterior/ Interior
I had a full body respray in Carmine Red in 2016 .
Door trims were replaced .
I had the front and rear bumper re-chromed in 2013 at cost of £744.
I bought 5 new alloys for the car. The spare hasn't been used.
I replaced the tyres in 2016 and they haven't done many miles since. They probably have at least 10, 000 miles left of driving.
The soft top is in excellent condition with no stains or tears .
In 2013 I had the interior wood refurbished and French polished .
I re-upholstered the seats by buying new foam and seat covers from Aldridge's and we fitted these ourselves. That came to £550. They are still in good condition.
The carpet is in good condition.
Electric windows work without faults.
The Triumph V8 engine is original to my knowledge.
Starts first time every time, no unwanted noises and a smoke free engine.
Passed the last three MOT's
No cooling issues issues - it hasn't overheated once in 11 years.
I replaced the radiator (cracked) with a new standard radiator.
My mechanic said the wiring needed sorting so he rectified that soon after I bought the car.
Fault on the wiper motor was rectified
I had the rear half shafts replaced.
I have recently had the tappets adjusted and the 2 timing chains, tensioners and jack shaft replaced. That was completed in July 2023 for £1400.
It hasn't needed any welding. I have seen the underside and it looked solid.
Two steering column bushes have been replaced.
It has a fitted immobiliser.
Good history file with many receipts .
