NBK 178 is an all alloy body car built for the current owner by ASM through 2012-13.
Registration is by DVSA IVA test and the car carries age related engine emissions to 1963 donor car for MOT requirements.
The car features a Jaguar XK 3. 8 litre engine (1963) running triple Weber carburettors and built to a ‘Club Sport’ specification by Jaguar engine specialists VSE Engineering. This involves custom grind cam and complementary head porting. Fully balanced rotating assembly and uprated ancillaries.
Ignition is by 1-2-3 distributor.
Finished in our usual ASM Metallic Racing Green plus a full set of white Roundel markers and Yellow Nose highlight feature.
Body build options include rear brake vent / duct feature in the wing tops, three set of bonnet louvres and rear petrol flap detail in the boot lid.
The gearbox is a Borg Warner / Tremec T5 five speed manual unit.
The silver painted Steel wire wheels are fitted with Dunlop RS5 tyres and three ear Borrani style spinners.
The interior has a period finished dash in ‘Distressed Green/ black crackle’ and a full set of Smiths instrumentation. A Stainless Steel slotted gear gate tops the alloy transmission tunnel which are in turn flanked by green leather bucket seats.
Both full tonneau and half Tonneau are also included giving a choice of travel or overnight protection.
Under the skin the car has an uprated LSD differential and disc brakes all around.
The car has covered approximately 5000 miles and has visited events both in Europe and UK.
Seen and enjoyed at Spa Classic, Le Mans Classic, Prescott Hill Climb, Silverstone Classic plus regular visits to Revival and Members’ meets at Goodwood Circuit.
This much loved car is being made available for sale due to the owners gradual metamorphosis into a bionic man. Several replacement joints no longer allow easy entry and egress!Vehicle can be viewed at the owners premises or at ASM works by arrangement.
