Finished in beautiful metallic silver and with just 39000 original miles the car is in a superb all round condition.
The bodywork is in lovely order with only the most minimal of age commensurate imperfection. As you might expect of a car of this mileage, the car presents wonderfully. It really is a very very attractive car with great presence, in excellent condition.
The Saville Grey leather interior is also in almost immaculate condition with virtually no wear. The leather seats, piped in red, carpets, headliner etc are all in beautiful condition. The wood cappings and trim are very very good. The switchgear and interior equipment all function correctly and are free from any wear/ damage. Remarkable when considering this car is now 35 years old.
The car retains its original lattice alloy wheels that are in super condition with no kerb damage or major corrosion and are shod with correct Pirelli tyres.
The bright work and chrome work are also excellent and virtually unmarked.
Under the bonnet, this XJS is fitted with the legendary 5. 3 V12 engine. It is super clean, with no visible coolant or fluid leaks, all original and very nicely presented.
On the road the XJS performs faultlessly, starts 1st time with no smoke, has plenty of power, delivered just as you would expect it to be, smooth and endless torque. The auto box is smooth and changes without hesitation. The ride is classic Jaguar, there are no noticeable rattles or clunks from the suspension and on test drive the car was a joy.
The car has its original service book/ handbook/ wallet/ keys as well as some very original paperwork/ documentation from when the car was new, tax discs dating back to '93, a full factory workshop manual, original toolkit etc. The car has had 3 previous owners although within the same household for most of its life. There are some early service stamps, until servicing and maintenance was undertaken by the engineer enthusiast owner for almost 30 years. In that time the car has been garage stored. The car has an excellent MOT history.
In conclusion, a truly superb V12 XJS, from to my mind the sweet spot in production, that is ready to be enjoyed, has clearly been very muchloved and presents beautifully. Perhaps one of the best available for sale today.
