Description
The rarest of all the XK models produced by Jaguar , only 73 XK 140 OTS cars were made by the company and this example is number 800018, being the 18th one manufactured on 23 February 1955 and delivered by Henlys of London on 9th March 1955 as stated in the Jaguar Record Trace Certificate.
Still finished in the lovely Mediterranean Blue with Black leather interior as delivered Equipped with disc wheels and new Michelin X tyres, this XK really is a picture.
Currently fitted with a non-original 3. 4 litre engine with a Moss gearbox with o/ d and larger 2” Carburettors. However, it is important to note that all the original engine and drive train parts are included with the car including the engine block and Close Ratio gearbox, which have been carefully stored.
This car arrived in Australia in 1960 where it was , by coincidence, registered locally. In 1978 it was sold to another Victorian owner who partially dismantled the car and then sold it in 1980 to the last owner who has restored and nurtured this XK 140 for over 40 years.
Now in beautiful driving condition with just the right amount of patina , this car also comes with a complete tool kit, with original tools under the tyre cover , parts catalogue and workshop manual and the drivers handbook .
