Just arrived. With less than 9k MGC cars made from 1967 – 1969 and just 4. 5k roadsters. The MGC is not only a rare MG model but it is a rare classic. We only have one or two MGC cars per year and they do not stay for long. Not overly loved in its day, the MGC became a collectable car decades later due to its rarity. Looks wise, they are very similar to its sister car, the MGB, but looking closer, the MGC in either GT or Roadster build has some subtle eye catching upgrades. The bonnet features the high lift bulge and the wheels are 15″. Both giving a more sporty look, preferred by many. Under the bonnet features the BMC 3 litre straight six from the Austin Healey.
The example we have for sale here has had upgrades to its engine, Top Billet Aluminium rocker with rollertip ratio 1:1, 65, ARP head studs, Gas flowed cylinder head, Omega forged pistons, Lightened and balanced conrods, plus ARP conrod bolts, Balanced Crank, Balanced flywheel and lightened (3kg lighter), 1/ 2 race cam reprofiled to ford 244 profile, DLC coating on the cam followers. All costing £££.
Date of registration was 01. 11. 1968. The car spent most of its life in the South of England with its then current owners. Painted in Tartan Red with a Black Mohair hood. The interior features black carpets, black seats piped in red and a Walnut dash. A leather rimmed Mota-lita steering wheel finishes the lovely interior. Sitting on 15″ Chrome Wire Wheels and complimented by re-chromed front and rear bumpers. The history file is thick and features MOT’s dating back to 1991 where the car had covered 14530 miles. The last MOT showed a mileage of just over 60k miles, showing little use over the last twenty years. There are invoices aplenty for servicing and parts also.
