Description
1966 Chevrolet Corvette C2 Convertible
This particular example of the ever sought after ‘big block’ 427 Corvette was manufactured at Chevrolet’s St Louis, Missouri factory during November 1965. Originally finished in Milano Maroon metallic with Saddle leather upholstery, the same combination it sports today.
Offered for sale in excellent order this rare machine ticks many of the must have boxes on any enthusiast’s wish list, but perhaps the most prevalent is the juxtaposition of such beautiful and delicate aesthetic style and (oddly for the Americans) small dimensions vs the truly monstrous power plant up front which ultimately dominates the driving experience, in an entirely positive way.
The car has been in the UK since 1980 and at least two of its previous custodians are known to me.
The car performs just as one should and has clearly been very well cared for with bills on file for recent maintenance and general works. The car has been given a thorough recommission by ourselves upon arrival following spending the majority of last winter indoors.
Now very much ready to be enjoyed this mesmerising car is to be sold complete with a healthy and detailed history file, MOT tested and with two sets of keys.
