Having colour coded bumpers with front and rear over riders, Finished in Ford Diamond White having unblemished paintwork along with a deep shine this will appeal to anyone wishing to show this car its simply amazing, RS aerodynamics front and rear, Sitting on the original Koni shocks all round being refurbished by a koni appointed engineer of which there are 2 only within the UK and using only original Koni parts, Sits as intended by ford 23mm lower. Having the original rear spoiler sat straight with no distortion along with the front spoiler being genuine Ford Motorsport again straight with no distortion. Having original Ford fitted fog lamps and original Ford driving lamps along with original Bronze tint windscreen, Rear window and both side windows all with matching original stamps. The fuel thrust cut-off warning lights are functional and correct. The RS 4-spoke leather trimmed steering wheel and special gearshift gaiter and knob show no signs of wear. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This vehicle has a genuine original brand new engine fitted as per it left the factory and only run to be set up never driven on the road it has literally no miles on the engine. Fitted with Fords 1600 Compound Value angle Hemispherical chamber (CVH) unit producing a manufacturer quoted 115 BHP. Mated to the Bosch K-Jetronic Fuel Injection System and incorporating deceleration fuel shut off, the car has a top speed of 118mph and achieves 0-60 in 8. 7 seconds. The original engine bay stickers are still attached the obvious twin coil set up and finned cast alloy rocker cover are proudly on display. The gear changes are light and a joy to use with the unique 0. 83 fifth gear ratio fitted only to the RS1600i.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Ford RS seven spoke alloy wheels are unmarked and are shod with matching original Dunlop D4 195/ 50 R15 tyres. Diagonally split hydraulic circuits with tandem master cylinder, vacuum servo assistance and 9. 4” ventilated discs up front and drums to the rear bring the car to a controlled steady halt.
