Description
Super rare Monroe M2 Roadster The brand with the euphonious name "Monroe" has an interesting company history. It worked closely with Chevrolet (Monroe vehicles were sold through Chevrolet dealerships) and was also involved in motorsport. Only 3, 500 of the M2 model were produced and this beautiful rarity from the First World War era is in surprisingly good condition. The car was imported from California to Germany in 1995. The two-seater was an exhibit at "The Horseless Carriage Garage, Escalon, California", a renowned classic car museum before its closure. From 1995-2023, the Monroe was part of a private classic car collection (a heated showroom in a residential building complete with car lift) and is in authentic condition. The already head-controlled four-cylinder "Mason" engine starts (on starter and crank) and the car runs. The original engine type plate is present. The soft top and interior are in good condition. A "Stewart" speedometer is installed. The paintwork shows signs of ageing and use. The interior and soft top are in good condition and undamaged. The beautiful 30-inch wooden-spoke wheels present themselves well. There is space for luggage and a spare wheel just behind the petrol tank. I am not aware of a second example in Europe and even in the USA there are less than 10 known examples. The car comes with the US title (State of California) and customs documents. Sold on behalf of a customer. Viewing is possible by appointment. More classics in stock. We speak English, please feel free to ask any question.
