Description
An exceedingly rare 'oil-flap' model. Well known for its special feature, the 'Oelklappe' was built for one year only with the special feature being the oil filler flap on the right hand side of the car, looking worryingly similar to the fuel flap on the front left of the vehicle. As a result, countless unknowing motorists and fuel attendants filled 2. 4T engines with fuel, causing untold damage. The backlash was severe enough that Porsche moved rapidly to scrap this idea, and the very next year the 911 models were rolling out the factory door with the oil-flap nowhere to be seen. This model is in immaculate condition, kept by a meticulous collector and now joining our collection. Having been completely restored to the highest level by the famed Abbot garage, arguably the best Porsche restoration house in the country, this car presents almost as new. Sitting at 2667km since restoration, this time capsule presents an excellent investment opportunity for a wise early-911 hunter.
