Description
The Mercedes-Benz 280 SE is an extremely elegant coupe from the W111 series. In 1969, a new version of this coupe series was introduced; the radiator grille was lower and wider than the previous version and the hood was somewhat flatter. This new version has become known as the 'Flachkühler', which literally means 'flat radiator'.
The white Flachkühler from Classic Park is equipped with a cognac-colored leather interior, an electric sliding roof and the original Becker Grand Prix LMKU radio. The car recently underwent almost ?30, 000 worth of maintenance, including an overhaul of the gearbox, an overhaul of the drive shaft, the replacement of the rear wheel bearings and kingpins, and extensive work on the engine and fuel system. Various photos and invoices of the recent work are part of the documentation.
The Mercedes-Benz 280 SE was delivered new in Switzerland in 1973 and has had a Dutch license plate since 2000. The car has the six-cylinder in-line engine and a manual transmission with floor gear. The interior is upholstered with the original leather; its good condition illustrates how carefully the car has always been treated. The whole is in very good condition and has an impressive appearance.
