Description
Superb 1973 Jaguar E-Type Series III V12 5. 3 litre automatic OTS/ Roadster manufactured 12th December 1973 and despatched 28th March 1974. Matching numbers cars with confirmatory Jaguar Heritage Certificate. With the coachwork in Regency Red and Biscuit leather interior it is in outstanding condition and has never been completely restored. Very low mileage car at 38, 000 miles (62, 000 kms) with two owners before the current one and, based upon the condition of the engine and chassis and the large bundle of service and repair history (which will be supplied with the car) that goes way back to the first owner, this mileage is deemed correct. The car is fitted with chrome wire wheels and comes with both convertible soft top and a hard top with sunroof. The hard top is currently fitted to the car as it makes the car very pleasant to drive, most notably in terms of noise and heat from the sun here in South Africa! The troublesome OPUS ignition system was replaced with Petronix Ignitor and the distributor is fitted with vacuum advance, making the engine much more responsive at partial throttle and generating less heat at idle. The car has also been fitted with air-conditioning, but not all that tidily in terms of the under-bonnet installation. A new windscreen is about to be fitted by ourselves.
