Description
Built 28th June 1967 and sent to USA Norton distributor Berliner Motor Corp, this Norton P11 was repatriated and registered in the in UK Nov. 2005.
The first UK owner kept the bike until 2012 when it was sold to the owner of a small classic motorcycle shop in north England, who started a comprehensive restoration soon after. At this time the milage was showing as aprox 10, 598.
The work was completed sometime in 2015 and is documented in the history file with many invoices for parts which also show and engine rebuild.
The 750cc ?Atlas? engine based P11 was only built for one year and was a response to the Triumph TT Special. The growing request from USA motorcycle distributors to the UK based manufacturers for desert racer type bikes was big at that time, but the P11 really excelled as a flat rack racer when fitted with high compression pistons.
Regarded as one of the rarest and most desirable of the Norton ?twins? examples don?t come to the market often, this is a well presented matching number bike that remains is very fine overall condition. Showing 12, 128 miles it is suppled with a good history file, UK V5C and owners manual, having had a recent full checkover in our workshop.
