Description
This much favoured 1951 Type 1 splitwindow Beetle is also characterised by the so-called ‘Crotch coolers’ that were only available on the `51/`52 Deluxe Splitwindow versions. The car was exported to Sweden in early 1981, the last owner kept the car for over 26 years. This Beetle has the 1200 Type 1 engine. It has been re-sprayed and mechanically overhauled in the past and whilst retaining the soul of this mark, it has been more than perfectly maintained over the years. It has a lovely patinated mainly original interior. The paintwork is good but not perfect. The original underbody is absolutely in perfect condition. Finished in a beautiful pastel green with a lovely beige cloth trim. It has a number of then expensive accessories such as a sun visor, the rare Crotch Coolers, exterior mirror and clock. This car is in outstanding working and running order. This is a mechanically flawless, beautiful pastel green Splitwindow Beetle, in top-class original condition!
