Hexagon Classics are delighted to offer what must surely be one of the lowest mileage Porsche 997 Turbo S cars on offer today. Its gleaming Guards red paintwork is contrasted by the smart-looking Sand beige full leather interior. This is the ideal car for the Porsche collector looking to add something very special to the garage.
Despite its phenomenal performance, it is also an easy car to drive in all conditions. When launched, the 997. 2 Turbo S added 40bhp and £20, 000 to the standard Turbo’s already eye-wateringly performance statistics: 530 bhp maximum output, 0-60 mph acceleration reduced to just 3. 1 seconds, and 0-100 mph is achieved in 7. 1 seconds. Top speed also increased to 197 miles per hour where permissible.
The engine received a nominal 1. 0 bar of boost, (against 0. 8 bar on the regular Turbo), along with lightly modified turbocharger vanes and a carbon fibre air manifold to endow the S with a continuous 516 lb/ ft. of torque which was 37 lb/ ft. more than the Turbo. The S also gained Porsche’s excellent seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox, with paddle shift behind the steering wheel, and Sport Chrono Plus package for more spirited throttle, damper and stability control settings at the press of a button. Other developments included the latest 911 Turbo’s four-wheel drive hardware and Porsche Torque Vectoring, which varied the drive to each individual rear wheel for more neutral cornering and spectacular traction.
Our 997 Gen II Turbo S was originally delivered new to the first UK keeper in December 2011 by Porsche Stuttgart Zuffenhausen, the home of Porsche. This C17 UK diplomatic spec car was initially collected directly from Porsche in Germany and then driven to the United Kingdom. The Turbo S has recently enjoyed a recent Porsche specification service which has included spark plugs and a new drive belt. A 12-month written warranty is also included.
