Description
The Alpina B7 Turbo Coupé was introduced in 1978, making it the first BMW 6 Series to be modified by Alpina. Behind the distinctive "shark nose" was a modified 3. 5 liter six-cylinder in-line to which a turbo was screwed on, bringing the power to an astonishing 330 hp for the time.
The B7 was available with a close-ratio five-speed or a five-speed manual with overdrive. Depending on the model year, Alpina claimed acceleration to 100 km/ h in 5. 9 or 6. 7 seconds and a top speed of 250 or 265 km/ h.
Classic Alpinas are hot right now and the prices of good ones are skyrocketing.
