Description
Alfa Rome Giulietta Sprint coachwork Bertone, 1960 matching numbers & colour, restored. White Gardenia example matched with blue and grey 'salt and pepper' interior. Four-cylinder engine, 1290 cc, 4-speed plus reverse gearbox, maching number with Alfa Romeo document of origin. The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint, later renamed 'Giulia Sprint' in the 1. 6 version, was a sports car produced from 1954 to 1965. Presented as a pre-series prototype at the Turin motor show on 19 March 1954, there were two examples on offer, one red and one blue. The success of the new model was such that Alfa Romeo immediately had to revise its production plans, which envisaged a maximum of 200 examples per year. By the end of the first day of the show, in fact, orders exceeded 500 units: a real success!
