EXTERIOR
This attractive 2007 Carrera S is presented in timeless Slate Grey Metallic. The paintwork is remarkably well preserved and remains in exceptional condition all round. The colour and finish are uniform throughout with a deep metallic shine following a machine polish by our in-house detailer on arrival with us. There are very few stone chips at the front end and the Bi-Xenon headlights are perfectly clear. At the rear of the car you’ll find discreetly fitted factory parking sensors, pristine light units, and only minor road rash around the arches; the Porsche crest and rear Carrera S script are also pristine. A very sharp example overall looking every bit the low mileage of just 58k.
INTERIOR
Nicely spec’d with the optional Bose surround sound system, heated seats, cruise control and Tiptronic S ‘box, the interior of this 911 is a great place to be. Much like the exterior of the car, the complementing Stone Grey upholstery remains in fantastic mileage-defying condition, the leather retaining a great shine-free finish with only the lightest of wear to the driver’s bolster to evidence its age. Pleasingly the original Porsche PCM head unit is still fitted with all the switchgear feeling reassuringly solid to operate. There are no marks on the contrasting black leather dash or steering wheel rim, and in the footwells the carpets are well protected by the original Porsche overmats. The rear seats are also excellent and under the bonnet the luggage compartment is free from any of the usual scratches or scuffs where items have been carelessly loaded.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Beneath the rear lid you’ll find the S-spec 3. 8-litre Porsche flat six, producing 350hp at 6, 600rpm, some 30hp over the standard Carrera model. The car remains in excellent mechanical condition having only ever been serviced by main dealers or trusted marque specialists. In 2018, at 51, 894 miles, a full engine rebuild was carried out by Walkers Autotech, the invoice for this work totalling an eye-watering £8, 359. The car has been correctly serviced twice more since then, the last being a major service (including gearbox) completed in March 2022 at 56, 999 miles.
WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
The 911 sits on striking 19-inch Sport Design wheels, all in perfect unmarked condition with matching Michelin Pilot Sport tyres all round. The brakes have also inspected and remain in fine operational condition. Other notable recent work includes 4-wheel alignment to further ensure the car drives and handles at its very best.
HISTORY FILE
First registered in August 2007 and supplied new by Porsche Centre Leeds, this Slate Grey 997 has now driven 58, 863 miles in the hands of 6 registered keepers. The accompanying History File comprises the original Porsche leather document wallet with all manuals, the maintenance book (stamped 9 times, detailed below), a thick raft of invoices dating back to the car’s first service in 2009, every MOT certificate since new, and a spare remote key. A full engine rebuild was carried out in 2018, and for the new keeper’s peace of mind the car additionally boasts a transferable Gold Cover warranty until November 2024!
