Description
A loved and cherished Rolls Royce Silver Shadow 1, registered new in 1977 with special order Smoke Green metallic and classy looking beige contrasting leather seats.
The Shadow 1 was technically years ahead of its predecessors - a point noted in the road test and reports from its day.
This example has survived remarkably well from having conscientious owners and huge investment to keep it in the condition it is today. In fact it appears that since 1990 £75000 has been spent on the car creating possibly the best value Silver Shadow and one that should give pleasurable ownership.
Furthermore, we have sent this car to the professional guys at Jaggard and Moore with a request to fix any items that needed fixing.
We paid £2600 for them to replace torque arm bushes, side and top subframe bushes, both nearside rear height control brake pipes to strut and bleed.
They said this car rides beautifully with these simple but often required replacements, and gave it a thumbs up from them.
A smooth and relaxing drive thanks to its independent rear suspension as well as a high-pressure hydraulic system with dual circuit braking and hydraulic self-levelling suspension. Not to mention the comfortable leather seats which are like armchairs.
Silver Shadows are becoming increasingly hard to find in a condition like this one and it will certainly attract a lot of attention.
