Description
We are pleased to present this superb C209 Mercedes CLK 500 Elegance Coupe. It has covered 118, 000 miles and comes with a 12 stamp service history, full book pack, two keys and is HPI clear.
The colour scheme really sets this car apart. It is finished in Ice Blue metallic and has light Alpaca leather.
Our extensive preparation has included replacing brake pipes that were a previous MOT advisory, fitting new front tyres, transmission service and full engine service including air mass meter, propshaft centre bearing, all 16 spark plugs, air filters and oil change. The overall condition is superb throughout and not to be confused with the many tired examples out there.
With 306 bhp it performs and drives very well yet also offers touring MPG of around 30 mpg. The first owner of this car was a London based lady who used it sparingly for the first couple of years of its life. There have been 5 owners in total including ourselves. It's most recent owner (prior to me) was from the Milton Keynes area and kept it for nearly 15 years before part exchanging it with a Mercedes main dealer from where we sourced it.
The specification includes 5 speed auto transmission, cruise control, trip computer, heated front seats, air-con, climate control, electric glass sunroof, ESP/ ABS, heated and electrically adjustable front seats, bi xenon headlights, front & rear parking sensors and auto lights & wipers. The wheels were originally 17" items but have been upgraded to the 18" AMG replicas currently fitted which really suit this era of Mercedes models.
Several year ago I ran a previous generation CLK 430 for a year and was very impressed by it, finding it to be no thirstier than a 2. 0 Mondeo. The V8 CLK's are an overlooked car in the current market. Had BMW built V8 versions of it's E46 coupe they would be highly sought after today, this is basically MB's version of such a car; a big engine in a compact body.
ULEZ exempt and £395 per annum RFL.
On the road the CLK 500's have about 95% of the talent of the bigger bodied CL 500 but without all the added complexity of Active Body Control and vacuum operated everything. The CLK is a much simpler car riding on conventional suspension and offers much lower ownership costs as a result.
