Description
In appreciation for his outstanding results in the 1994 AMA Championship, then his amazing speed and competitiveness in the 1995 World Superbike Championship, Ducati owners Claudio and Gianfranco Castiglioni gifted their new Australian star one of the most sought-after bikes of the era, the beautiful Ducati 916.
Intentionally built in bi-posto form, this 1994 built, 1995 delivered example was hand assembled by the Cagiva team with the addition of several factory upgrade items deemed necessary for Ducati's star pilot. Given this was built in 94 and the BiPosto did not commence until 95, this particular bike is possibly one of the first ever 916’s to be configured with a pillion seat.
Delivered to Australia late 94 and complied Feb 1995, the bike has remained in Troy’s ownership and been continuously registered since its arrival into Australia. Delivered to Troy by Fraser Motorcycles in his home town of Wollongong, the bike has been fastidiously serviced and maintained by Fraser’s longest serving senior tech, who, despite the minimal k’s (15, 295) has also fully serviced the bike in preparation for selling.
Located with Troy in Wollongong NSW, the bike is sold with original Ducati hand book, both original GRD keys, Ducati print out confirming VIN, Engine, and Australian compliance date, and signed letter of authentication confirming the bike has belonged to none other than Troy Corser. Advertised price includes Australia wide door to door shipping, or for international buyers, export preparations, docs & delivery to port.
