Description
In 2007 Ducati unveiled the world’s most powerful twin cylinder motorcycle, the 1098. Its Testastretta Evoluzione’s 112 Nm and 160 bhp output was combined with its 173 kg of dry weight into the highest performing street bike ever produced by Ducati. In its 1098 S edition, the unsprung weight reduced even further by 1. 9 kg via forged Marchesini lightweight rims and a carbon fibre front fender. Handling was upgraded to the highest standards via 43mm fully adjustable FG511 TiN coated front forks, Ohlins 46 PRC shock absorbers and Ohlins adjustable steering damper. Monobloc Brembos machined from single piece of alloy provided for precise and wear-free track and street use. Furthermore, the 1098S was equipped with lap time recording and analysis capability via Ducati’s DDA system.
The 1098S offered was produced in 2007 in Red to feature the Black Marchesini wheels, the Ohlins suspension system, carbon fibre fender, Brembo Monoblocs and DDA system to become part of a private collection. With only 836 km it now presents in impeccably preserved original condition and offered separately or as part of a Ducati superbike collection.
