Description
In 1999 Harley–Davidson and Porsche collaborated to power the V-twin Racing Street Custom series of drag racing muscle bikes. The Revolution engine was a water cooled, DOHC unit with 60 degree V cylinder arrangement of 1131 cc capacity. Soon after the engine was further developed by Harley-Davidson’s Screamin’ Eagle/ Vance & Hines drag racing team to compete in the National Hot Rod Association Championship. After a series of consecutive wins, Harley-Davidson produced for a single year only the limited VRSCX series to commemorate the Screamin’ Eagle’s pro stock V-Rod achievements. These were equipped with an enlarged to 1247cc Revolution engine, a 240 mm rear tire, 5 gallon gas tank, forward controls, a smoked drag-visor windshield and Screaming Eagle pro stock V-Rod’s paintwork. The VRSCX featured was produced by Harley-Davidson’s Vehicle and Powertrain Operations in May of 2007 to become part of a private collection of iconic motorcycles. It is now offered as part of a Screamin' Eagle collection or separately in an astoundingly preserved condition with only 153km since it left the factory.
