Description
1958 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud I
Chassis Number SGE 392. Finished in black over Sand. This Silver Cloud 1 is truly outstanding, the result of a 4 year bare metal restoration and worthy of a place in a serious collector's stable of fine motor cars. It underwent a re-trim of all seat leathers in beige Luxan Vaumol hide, replacement of headlining in the correct cloth and replacement of all carpets, all documented by 400 plus photographic records. The veneered trims were all stripped and re-laquered, door trims re-connolised and the chassis is newly Waxoyled. This magnificent example of a Silver Cloud 1 smells new inside and has covered just 200 miles since the restoration was completed in 2021. The car comes from the private collection of a Rolls-Royce section President, is a past concours RREC winner and has been awarded the Henry Keller Trophy and "Best in Show" prizes, it has an extensive history file of maintenance by Rolls-Royce trained motor engineers and one family owner over 40 years. All chassis and engine numbers correctly match the original build sheets. The original log book, tax discs and build sheets are in the file. Mechanically the car is very well sorted with a quiet and smooth running engine, power steering and a lovely automatic gearbox all of which go to making it a joy to drive. I have known this car for over 40 years and it is without doubt one of the best Silver Clouds that I have had the pleasure to offer for sale.
