A stunning 1922 Duesenberg Model A Phaeton, pinned with an array of ACD awards, this is a fine example of technically advanced and race-derived engineering.
The Model A is a race-bred tour de force and was America's first production car with an inline eight-cylinder power engine and four-wheeled hydraulic brakes, which helped Duesenberg's Jimmy Murphy to a victory at the 1921 French Grand Prix.
Presented in a gorgeous tri-tone colour scheme with a Dove Grey main body and Dark Grey fenders, accented with a Deep Red chassis and wheels.
It has recently benefited from refreshening by LaVine Restorations Inc of Indiana, USA. It exhibited at the 2010 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and partook in the Pebble Beach Tour and is ACD Club Certified, D-008.
It has a 260 cid SOHC inline eight-cylinder engine, single carburettor, 87 HP and three-speed manual transmission, solid front and live rear axles with semi-elliptic leaf springs and Watson Stabilisors, four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes and a wheelbase of 134".
