On very few occasions does a special car come along that simply blows us all away. After seeing this show winning car at auction, we knew that it was right car for us. This was going to be showcased in the front of our showroom as a piece of art when we opened this new showroom.
Now, some years on, it’s time to re offer this beauty to someone else to enjoy the attention this car truly received. Currently offered at a small premium above what we paid and some minor additional costs we incurred.
Following a family dispute in 1965, our car was dry stored through until 1989. The owners were convinced to sell the car, and it was bought by a sympathetic car fan who remarked at how amazing this car was and needed little to bring to life. With a need to raise capital at the time this man sold in 1995 but incredibly tracked it down again in 2020 and set to work producing this car we have today.
Following much time, patience and money the owner put the car up for auction where it became the highest priced Consul sold. This didn't scare us as you couldn't build this car for less than £80, 000.
During its time it has won various classic car shows and will go on to win many more.
Finished in the original and period Kenilworth Blue, the paintwork is faultless and has been completed to the best level. Likewise, the black roof has a stunning glass-like finish. It is clear, that the previous owner was conscientious with an eye for quality at the expense of cost.
Supplied with this 3-owner car is a substantial file with some very interesting historical documentation going all the way back to 1959. Present in the folder is the original purchase receipt from when it was new, MOT's, information on works carried out and the original Buff logbook showing the first owner's details and road tax stamps. Many MOT's from 1995.
This vehicle can be supplied with an oil and filter service carried out, an MOT if requested and 3 Months nationwide Autoguard warranty with option to extend.
